Who are we?
Holmer Green Village Society is a not for profit organization operating under a constitution. We have been formed to promote the interests of residents and organisations in our village.
Working For Today:-
1. Safety and Security - The society will improve the safety and security of the community in Holmer Green such as Holmer Green watch, discouraging vandalism, speeding and any other issues of immediate concern for residents
2. Environmental Management - The Society will improve and manage the appearance and environment in Holmer Green such as The Pond, Litter, other presentation and "tidiness" aspects of the village
3. Village Communications and Issues focus - The Society will listen to local issues and create appropriate actions by creating a variety of communications systems suitable to all residents of Holmer Green such as Website, facebook page, email addresses, "dropbox" at Walshes, ‘drop in’ at the Square
Planning For The Future:-
4. County and District Planning Issues affecting Holmer Green - The Society will lobby for Holmer Green’s best interests in any major Planning Projects . Current examples are the proposed developments of Skimmers Orchard and Band of Brothers at Featherbed Lane.
5. A Society of Residents, Organisations and Businesses. The Society will maximise the membership of all individuals and groups within our community in Holmer Green. Developing an inclusive environment where families, the young and old can all benefit and relate to the place where they live or work
6. Cultural Initiatives and Community Events. The Society will organise community events. It will assist the documenting of our History in Holmer Green and take part in creating the future Holmer Green requires.
The society also will work with all other associated councils and organisations especially Little Missenden Parish Council.
